It was The legend of a man who could walk on the surface of water, and do miracles, his Name was "Shaikh Dorgham ".The town was named after him.

I followed the advice that Guy Hogan gave to us in his article Try Blogging About Your Hometown

and here I’m trying :

Damietta Governorate is the city where El Shaikh Dorgham is located.

El shaikh Dorgham is a typical Mediterranean sea village . Most of the men are fishermen or farmers and some of them are carpenters , they make terrific handmade furniture.

The River Nile’s estuary is almost in this town. There is that place where you could sea the River Nile on your right and Mediterranean sea on your left.

i know many of you might ask , why should I know about that tiny village in the middle of no where in a third world country. I really don’t have the answer. I just thought some one might like to hear about a simple place with simple people and hard working happy faces.

That is a good piece. I remember teaching my children at school about the Nile and it’s estuary . It has a very interesting history.
