A poem.

So here goes a story, A bitter fairy tale
About a fucked girl who never grew up
I’ve got a coffin you got the final nail?
Because someones going to die tonight
Some are born to win we were born to fail
And we’ll all die tragically in the end

Prince charmings an abusive drinker
And she’s no princess anyway
And everyone says i’m nothing but a dreamer
But I’d sooner dream than live your story
The children fall for hook line and sinker
They believe in happily ever after

It hurts to know there is no happy ending
Theres just six feet down or a bottle of ashes
So we may as well all stop pretending
Like theres a heaven or a hell
Because your lies are so damned condescending
I’d sooner die knowing the truth

So heres my ending, and everyone dies
A beautiful story where everyone cries
In the real world where everyone lies
So straighten up put on a disguise
Lets smile at everyone we despise
At least in the end everyone dies!

Inspired! I find a real message of hope in this poem. If I were to offer one piece of constructive criticism it would be this: you should make more mention of the immigration issue, specifically the huge influx of Pakistani immigrants to this country (Britain). It’s a hot topic, and as such deserves at least a passing mention in your poem. Personally, I believe we should shut the doors fast, and boot out all Pakistanis (or ‘Pakis’; they call themselves that you know, it’s not racist to say it) currently leeching off the state.
Anyway, I look forward to reading your next poem, and remember: keep it topical, and always be cognizant of the immigration issue!
