Once upon a time there lived a very young monkey who often sat upon a very big tree.

His name was Sniffy.  Probably because he loved flowers.

One day, Sniffy was scrubbing his little toes in a pond, right next to his favorite tree.  He heard something coming toward him, stomping heavily in the water.

Phew! It was his friend, Fluffy, a big elephant from the other side of the pond.  She giggled.

Fluffy had good news.  She heard there were giant beautiful flowers on the other side of the pond!

Sniffy could hardly wait! He packed a nutritious lunch and then set off to smell the flowers, with Fluffy.

Sniffy hopped up onto Fluffy.  They walked.

And they walked.

They came across a storm…

A very large unpleasant bird stole their nutritious lunch.

Sniffy and Fluffy were beginning to think they would never see and big beautiful flowers.

… when they noticed they were at the other side of the pond!

The flowers were huge!  Sniffy was so happy.

Fluffy was feeling a little left out.  She couldn’t smell the flowers to well, because she caught a cold from being in the storm.

That day fluffy felt very lucky to have a friend like sniffy.
