Cathy was eight when her dad kidnapped her from her mother. All she remembers of the life back then was the houseboat her mother and her lived in. They were on the road what seemed like forever. Some of it was fun but her mother was determined to get away and make sure  her daddy wouldn’t hurt them ever again. They reached Washington state and her mom rented a houseboat on one of the lakes. It was nice. She would spend hours sitting on the deck looking at all the fish swimming by.Gale was once quite the catch. thin and had long flowing red hair. After she married Dennis, things changed. He grew mean. He would come home drunk and would take her by force. She tried to fight him off but he was so much stronger than her. She was lucky if she weighed 105lbs wet. He couldn’t keep a job. His anger grew to where he was beating her quite a bit. She stayed at home so nobody would see the bruises. After one night of being raped by her husband she found out she was pregant . He was so mad when he found out. He accused her of having an affair. She cried she had  not been unfaithful.

He kicked her in the stomach. She fell in the floor in such pain. He left and went to the bar. She didn’t dare go for help. She got up and cleaned herself up and prayed that the baby would be ok. Nine months later Cathy was born. Beautiful child. She had her fathers thick black hair and her mothers  blue eyes. He laid off the abuse for awhile. Gale thought he was trying to be a better husband. Later on she found out that he was cheating on her. The  woman’s husband came looking for him one night. Gale finally learned the truth. He had beaten a woman he had been seeing so bad that her own mother didn’t know her. The woman was separated from her husband. After the husband found out what had happened to his wife, he went looking for Dennis. Dennis came home drunk again. He was bloody and so angry. He started throwing things around the home and breaking everything in site. The police showed up and Dennis was arrested for beating the other woman and for beating Gale. The police said she better gt a protection order set in motion ,Just in case he gets out soon.
