Is there really such thing as a ghost? They do claim ghosts can attach themselves to places. For some reason it seems that if the death is tragic, the person stays around. Why this is, I don’t know. The following are a few ghost stories, you can decide for yourself if you believe them or not.

       The Currituck Beach Lighthouse in North Carolina was built in 1874. It has been a comfortable place for many people to stay through the years. It is really a duplex with private quarters, but the north bedroom is supposedly haunted by a very young girl. Her name is Sadie and she was the child of the very first lighthouse family that lived there.

      Sadie would go to the beach all the time. She loved building sandcastles in the not far from the surf. Her mother would constantly go out and check on her and see her lovely daughter bent over hard at work.

     There were times Sadie would not notice how close she got to the water and she would come home soaking wet.

     Now, one day, Sadie took off her shoes while building her sandcastles. Sadie apparently decided to go wading in the ocean, a powerful riptide took her out to sea!

      Her poor parents searched until nightfall and many of the locals joined them. Nobody could find little Sadie. The next day a local fisherman found Sadie’s body on the beach.

     People claim they have seen Sadie in her bedroom and have felt her presence there. The north bedroom was Sadie’s room and she still lives there.

         Just west of Queen Elizabeth Way in Niagara Falls there is a tunnel under the railroad tracks that is very haunted. A path goes through the tunnel and up into a abandoned field.

        This field was not always lke this. There was a time when a lovely house sat in this field, where a nice family lived. Then one night everything changed for this family. Their house caught on fire! Everyone made it out of the house safely except a young girl. She was trapped, but she did fight to get out.
