The same scenario: A girl alone in her bed at the middle of a dark room with only a lamp shade to provide a dim light. Torn pictures of a happy couple and sporadic piles of used facial tissues surrounds her…and for goodness’ sake, it’s three in the morning and she’s crying her heart out!

A heartbreak is always a blessing from God, it may be a very worst nightmare that leaves you crying in the middle of the night, but it’s just His way of letting you realize that He saved you from the wrong one. Surprisingly, this quote was forwarded to me by a friend who had undergone, and I guess, successfully moved on from a rejection. But it is true. However, what was really the score on heartbreaks an such? Why do we have to undergo such painful dilemma?

Heartbreak is more than just “crying in yhe middle of the night” thingie; more than “eating all the chocolates available” setup; more than being “EMO”; more than flirting, dating, hating, drinking, laughing out loud, screaming and dancing wild cliche. I guess this is about the feelings that are hurt, the ego that s bruised, and the relationship that didn’t last. We didn’t choose this to happen to us. Of course, who would want to have their love story shattered? Every girl of the womankind that is a daughter of Eve would want a “happy ever after”.  That had always been a dream since the dawn of the fairy tales. And even today, in a world where the woman emerge to be of same heights with a man, there would alwas be a time where she would choose to sacrifice for the man she loves.

The woman or girl, has only one option, to get up where she had stumbled. Loving someone you can’t have is like holding on to a piece of broken glass. Not wanting to let go but your hands feel the pain, and when you finally gave up, you’re free from the pain, but your hands are empty and bleeding. Nursing a broken heart is difficult beceause the only nurse you’ve got is yourself, no other person could do it best. So, as any other people would sa…”Wake up! It’s not the en of the world, girl. Maybe he’s the one you love and whom you wanted to be loved right now, but be the once smart and witty you. Realize that it’s over. Shine once more and show the world(ESPECIALLY HIM) whose loss it is. say a prayer, then forgive. Get out from the dark, smile with a light heart then start anew. Courage, girl, and acceptance. That is your fate, life is always unfair, so don’t expect it to be fair to you. For one day, while walking along the beach with the one that God chose for you to have, you’ll reminisce this heartbreak and just laugh it away as the sun sets. After all, you are one smart chic.
