Simply love.
Sun laid her golden head on the soft, puffy, cloud was relieved her work
for the day was done. Not a woman given to self pity, however tonight
loneliness hit like waves against the sea-shore in her solar plexus,
“Oh! God, Powerful God of the universe hear my prayer, bring me a man
who will love me and I will love him in return; a man with a noble heart, if
this is possible a handsome man also. Thank-you God” the Amen was said
silently deep from within Sun, so deep was this inner cry she could not
express it aloud. Laying her head against the cotton wool pillow she fell
asleep.
Cane was inside his home, one could describe him as a man of the earth,
calm, not given to wild moments of rage, if aroused however he became
a man to be feared, awesome in that moment, he was a man of few words,
people listened to him when he did speak, as he spoke with wisdom and
authority. It was time to rest his weary bones; his days work was done,
he was feeling melancholy this night; the light of his life was gone.
Every morning he waited for her presence to shine through his bedroom
Window, he worshipped h the Sun, she was his reason for living, his day
was made when he bathed in the warmth, her joy. Stretching out upon
his clay bed a sigh came out, so deep it made the earth rumble.
“If only, If only, I could meet her, speak, but one word” the words fell
into the air, as the thief of the night sleep claimed him.
In a tavern the local ‘Seventh Heaven’ two devious men were sitting at
a table drinking moonshine,
“We’re take Sun out at night when she is asleep” “Dispose of her quickly,
melt her down; there will be no trace of her anywhere.”
“Bingo, then the world will be ours, we will be the star of the universe, rule
Supreme” laughed Lightning Power his guttural voice spraying out into the
room.
“We will share the ruling, equal power, we will won’t we?” went the
whining voice of his mate Thunder Bolt.
“Sure will bro” a sly look passed over Thunders’ face. He thought to
himself as he sipped on his moonshine ‘No Way’ it will be all mine, he
needed him at this time, but the time would come when his ‘bro’ loyalties
would mean nothing. It was dark as the two crept into Suns ‘boudoir where
she lay sleeping in a cosy dream, of her ideal man.
A hand cold, clammy, slithered over her sleeping body, the breathing
was stilled as he placed large, dirty, paws round the graceful swan neck.
An evil, demented look upon his face, he squeezed lightly he was savoring
this moment he had waited for.
Sun felt this dark presence an evil pervading the atmosphere, she felt those
Hands round her neck, smelled the stench of those dirty paws. It was like
she wasn’t sure whether this was happening, for real or a night mare. The
pressure was increasing round her delicate neck. This was for real, a scream
broke out when the hands for a second relaxed, shattering the silence; it rang
out into the still, silent, universe. Struggling, scratching, gasping for breath
she fought those hands.
Cane was staring into the dark night his thoughts were on Sun,
“Sun what are you doing at this moment?” he wondered to himself.
“Do you ever think of me?” silly man he thought she doesn’t even know
you exist.
Bursting the silence suddenly he felt the air shake, the mood had
become dark, menacing, he could feel the danger in the air. The faintest echo
reached his ears, a scream in its dimmest filled his heart with fear, he knew
Who those scream belonged to; it was his Sun she was in danger. A volcanic
rage began to rumble, a tremor shook his body, and a grumble was brewing
deep within him. The earth began to shake violently, cracks started to occur
In the earth.
Thunder Bolt, ‘Lightning Power’ felt the grumblings the violent shaking the
Temperature was rising; instantaneously they both thought the same thought,
they froze on the spot; Volcano Cane was on their lips.
“Vanish now bro” was the frightened cry of Lightning, they knew Volcano
they had met him before; they knew they were no match for Volcano
Cane for they had not planned on him as he had been silent for years, they
thought he was extinct.
They slithered, snakes they were in the grass into the night to be seen no
more.
Cane grew inside large, then larger, till he was gigantic, until he reached to
where his Sun lay gasping on her bed. As their eyes locked on to each other
for the first time it happened, an explosion took place, fireworks erupted
as this instant attraction like a fire, consumed each of them. A passion that
could not be extinguished. Heaven and Earth met that day in majestic glory.
Out of this union came seven beautiful stars the daughters of Sun and Cane.
The name Pleiades which mean’s doves was given to their daughters who
were the stars of their parent’s eyes, which suited these beautiful Stars as
they peaceful in their natures.
Cane was in heaven as he had his Sun, he had his cluster of stars, the only
blemish which wasn’t really was his last star wasn’t as bright
as the others, so what! He had his cluster full, his cup was running over, he
had everything, his Sun and his Pleiades, life was sweet.
