I shall live my life so lonely

thinking of you now and then,

counting the days and knowing

that I’ll never see you again.

If the stars don’t glow above me

never shine till who knows when,

my world now  revolves in darkness

because I’ll never see you again.

I would give up my life in a moment

if my heart would stop feeling this pain,

every minute I long to be near you

but I’ll never get to hold you again.

Forever is much more than a lifetime

second love can never be the same,

when you’re caressing, kissing another

your heart is with the first love again.

There never comes a new tomorrow

because every day seems the same,

each filled with loneliness and sorrow

just knowing I’ll never see you again.
