My problem was a pair of closed shoes for my business attire. I have no choice but to go to my sister-in-law’s house to borrow her black shoes.
I wake up early in the morning to get ready for a challenging day. I was called yesterday by an agent to confirm if I am really going to pursue my application as a customer service representative in their company. I told her that I am very interested. So, she gave me a schedule for an interview and test today. I am very excited and I have researched a lot last night for better answers to their questions. It was almost fourteen years since I last applied for a job. I’m feeling nervous and I think I am shaky. I have never experienced any customer service position. Although I knew that I fit the requirements, still the palpitations and cold sweats came out on me.
I prepared my bag and all the requirements. My problem was a pair of closed shoes for my business attire. I have no choice but to go to my sister-in-law’s house to borrow her black shoes. She went to their storage area wherein the shoes were kept for almost three years. Luckily, it still fits me. So, I went on but since I am not used to wearing closed shoes, I just bring them and plan to use when I get there. I still wear my flat gold slippers on my way to my appointment. I was scheduled at 9:00am. The company is located inside the 2nd floor of the mall. The mall was still closed but the guard let me in. I arrived fifteen minutes earlier so I have more time to use the comfort room. I took time to composed myself and do some retouch. I changed my slippers and use the black shoes. At first, they were comfortable, but when I went out of the comfort room and was about to go down stairs, I felt that something was wrong. The outer soles of the shoes are beginning to fall out. They were already worned out. I stepped back but I think that I can’t reach the comfort room. So, I looked around if there were other persons around. The schedule has been good to me because it is still early and the mall is not yet open so nobody’s around that time. I covered myself in a nearby block and use again my slippers. Oh, how shameful I was! I put the shoes back to my bag and pretended that everything’s alright. As I was going down the stairs, I found the other sole was left on the second step of the stairs. I thought of picking it up but a beautiful woman going up found it, too. She laughed so loud and asked the guard whose sole was that. I kept on going down and didn’t mind her at all. She didn’t know it was me. This was a very funny experience ever, ever in my life…. Fortunately, I got the job. My recruiters didn’t mind my slippers unmatched to my outfit.
