Salmoneus of the television series, Hercules Legendary Journeys is a role, despite the fact he was caught for tax evasion. He is also known for his wheeling and dealing for a quick dinar, but what makes him so special is that Salmoneus can always be relied upon to help in times of trouble.

Salmoneus sees the good in people, but what makes him so special is he takes notice of up-coming trends. He is not afraid of risk when it comes to new fashion, and he likes to bet the odds especially when he knows he can come out on top. He is a business man by trade; he just hasn’t decided what market is best for him.

He has gotten into the fashion business with the latest of trends, and also worked as a writer, writing Xena and Hercules autobiographies. If you need to know the odds of an event, he is the one to ask. If he is going to gamble on someone he always gambles on Hercules winning. He always comes through when he is needed.

He has also had to face his fear. When with Xena and Hercules, Iolaus they were almost trapped under rocks but Hercules stopped them from being crushed with his strength. After the rocks had fallen he was frozen with fear. He did not want to be a burden and fled. He eventually overcame his fear.

Salmoneus has helped Hercules, Iolaus and Xena, the Warrior Princess. He first met Hercules after he had run into a Cyclops will on the way to Trachis. After that he spent time with Thespius’ 50 daughters. He then attends the wedding of Penelope, and helps Hercules when he becomes blinded.
