A purple prose tale of love. What ever the heck that means.

A long, long, long time ago in the quaint yet beautiful kingdom of Golopan on the edge of a dangerous land lived an unfairly handsome knight , Sir William Edwards of the velvet tongue.   Sir William was more famous for his exploits with the women of the kingdom than any military conquests.  This is the story of one such conquest.  Penelope was the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Evanston.  She was a lovely girl on a diplomatic mission to offer peace to the kingdom, and the undying support and alliance of Evanston to the people of Golopan.

Sir William had been assigned to ensure her safe passage across the kingdom.  In a legendary ruse to separate her from her accompanying party, Sir William had a peasant from a nearby village approach the caravan and warn of a great force of bandits about to set upon the hapless caravan.  He convinced her body guards that the only way to insure her safety was if he took her alone as he could move faster than the caravan he would meet them all back at the castle but that they all must make haste.   The guards were hesitant but he convinced them by saying every minute we argue they are closing in on us.  If you are too make it safely with your carriages and wagons you need to move quickly, Tracking a single horse is much more difficult than even two so I and the fair lady will take a shortcut I know that passes over a rocky area that is extremely hard to pick up a trail on.  This will prevent the bandits from finding her and we shall wait for you at the castle.  I figure we shall be there in three days time if we make haste.  You will probably arrive in 4 if you are able to outrun the bandits.  Good luck and God speed sir.

When he had the maiden on his horse he followed an old overgrown path that led to a beautiful stream fed by a giant waterfall.  When he arrived at the stream he began disrobing immediately.  When the maiden questioned what it was he was doing he told her, madam I am preparing to cross the stream and I do not wish to ride wet for the rest of the day.  I would advise you to do the same.   The girl was somewhat naïve and she agreed to disrobe if he promised not to look.  “My fair lady, I am more concerned with your safety than your flesh!”  Of course I would not look upon a beauty such as you without being invited.  I am certain you have many knights and probably a prince or two courting a lovely woman such as yourself.  “No she answered, my father does not allow me to even dance at the balls, I am afraid I shall be alone forever.”

Awesome story – You should write a novel! I feel bad for the knight – but he\\\’ll recover soon after the next 5 women. I was glued to the story for the entire piece.
