Authentic power does not come to you

from the acquisition of money, because

without the money you would then be

powerless.

Many years ago, when I still had a habit of watching TV, I came upon an interesting story of a Hong Kong businessman who, after becoming bankrupt and left with only $100, proceeded to reconstruct his own former business empire, having succeeded in doing so. I saw him as an extraordinary person and have always asked myself what was it that he had?

These days I used to get up at 5:00am to go to the gym to lift weights before going to work and my bodybuilding readings were a daily routine. I once came across one idea that stayed with me, so interesting it seemed to be: it was the principle of biologic memory.

It basically says that, having one developed one’s physique to a particular level, having then decremented from that level, it would be rather easy to go back to the former level. This because, somehow, the body remembered that level.

What is really interesting is that I had the opportunity to test that theory and it seemed to work. Once you fall below you normal physical form, going back to it is just a question of discipline. Going further than that point is a completely different matter.

Once I understood this, the Hong Kong businessman who went back to his former business shape, became interesting. Was it some sort of mind-level which he went back to? It appears to me that to be the case.

I think that most people have some sort of self-regard and see themselves, for the matter financially, at some level and tend to hover around it. Is it self-esteem? Is it self-image?

When this Hong Kong businessman saw himself below his financial normal he just reclaimed it. He just started by calling some friends and went from there. So simple. So amazing!
