Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a very beautiful and kindhearted princess named Cassandra.

When her mother died, her father fell in love again and married an equally beautiful woman but known for her selfishness. All she wanted was nothing else but everything they owned. When her father suddenly got sick, her stepmother took the opportunity to throw her out of the Castle.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the land, there lived a handsome prince named Elizalde. He was very sad because he could not find the right princess for his kingdom.

One day, he decided to leave the Castle for a while in search for the lucky one. He believed that there was one among hundreds of princesses all over the land.

Along the way, the prince met an old man who told him that he knew the purpose of his travel. Despite his surprise, the man gave him a soiled black pouch. He told the prince that it would help him find the right princess.

The princess, on the other hand, because of the long journey she was not used to, felt weary and hungry. She sat down on a huge rock near the river. When she was about to eat the last piece of bread she had, an old woman appeared before her and said she was very hungry. Thinking she was younger and stronger, gave the bread to the woman.

Half an hour later, she met a young boy at the forest and said he felt very cold. Thinking that the boy was helpless and alone, she gave him her cloak.

When she reached the hillside, she stopped by to take a nap and to forget her hunger and coldness as well. Suddenly, she was awakened by someone shaking off her shoulders. When she opened her eyes, she saw a worn out man sitting beside her. He said his wife was sick but they had nothing to make her feel well. Without thinking of herself, she gave him the only thing she had, her crown. She told him that he could exchange it for food and medicine for his wife.

Surprisingly, she made a quick few steps back when he turned out to be a very handsome prince. It was Prince Elizalde. All throughout her journey, she met no one but the same prince disguised as the old woman, the little boy, and the man. All because of the black pouch.

He introduced himself to her and told her that she fulfilled his purpose.

With the help of the prince and his warriors, she went back to her Castle to save her dying father from the hands of her wicked stepmother who had been poisoning him.

After winning the battle, Prince Elizalde took her to his kingdom and made her his princess. From then on, they lived happily ever after.
