A tiger butchered by a middle aged man and the naked truth about the whole episode was he did it single handedly, without an ounce of support from anybody.

It was one of the daring incidents that sent ripples in a small countryside community in eastern India on a normal Monday morning.

A small hamlet in Eastern India had never witnessed anything like this before.

A tiger butchered by a middle aged man and the naked truth about the whole episode was he did it single handedly, without an ounce of support from anybody.

The whole village stood witness to the amazing incident that took place in the early 80’s.

You might augur to the fact that how could a man who was in his 50’s could kill an adult tiger, and that too a ferocious one, single handedly.

The man who belongs to the local tribe of Assam is very humble, and doesn’t like to give credit to himself.

He says that God gave him the strength to do so. He says that he never intended to kill the tiger but the gravity of the situation forced him to do so.

The day started as usual and everybody went to their work in the morning hours.

It was around 7′O clock in the morning when the milkman arrived to deliver the milk. A small baby was lying in a cot outside the house, and the mother had gone to the nearby paddy field to sow seeds.

As the milkman, who was on his bicycle came near the house, he sounded his bicycle bell. The tiger that was hiding in the bush very near to the entrance of the house pounced on the milkman.

Hears cries of “save me”, “save me” from outside, the owner of the house came out of his wooden two storey building.

As he came out, he saw a full grown up tiger grab the milkman with his teeth. He also noticed in a split second that his grandchild laid on a wooden cot few paces from where the tiger was.

He quickly came out with a bamboo stick and started beating the tiger with full force. The tiger that had pounced over the milkman left him and attacked the tribal man who was beating him.

Sensing the tiger would now attack him, he ran inside the house.

The house that was a wooden two storied building had a low ceiling and there was a wooden staircase from inside to go the rooms on the first floor and there was a wooden staircase outside in the front as well.

The tiger followed him but the man quickly went to the first floor and bolted the door. He shouted at the injured milkman to close and lock the door at the ground. The tiger was now completely trapped. He was unable to move out.

The tribal man who was also the owner of the house took out a thick iron road which is manually used to dig grounds. He opened the bolted ceiling and began hitting at the tiger with full force.

The tiger was too strong and the thick iron rod which was also very strong got bended by the force of the tiger’s head.

The tiger meanwhile got more ferocious, he was growling hard. The man did not lose heart and he continued beating him single handedly with the iron road till the tiger was killed.

The courageous man saved many lives that day with his intelligence and bravery.

There was a big feast in the village that night and the tiger’s meat was cooked and served. The tiger’s skin was however used later to extract oil which is said to be a useful medicine.

If not for that man, many would have suffered injuries to their bodies and might have lost their lives.
