This is an inside-information all about me
Among Facebook users, many of them write posts concerning “25 things about me.” I thought I would be fun to give this a try on Triond. It’s a fun note which allows everyone to get know each other that much better than they did before. What do you say; how long can we keep this going? It might be fun to see how much we have in common, or in contrast, how different we really may really be. So allow me to do my introduction.
1. I love to read short stories.
My favorite hobby is to read short fiction. I have read short stories by Mark Twain and O. Henry, but I think my favorite is “The Yellow Wallpaper.” I love to read stories on-line. I have even started to create a word document of the on-line short stories that I can put in a binder and take with me on trips. It’s a great way to get ideas for stories and other forms of writing. I think short fiction is so fun to read. Some of the characters are so fascinating. Some short fiction makes you feel as if you’re in the story. I love to write an alternate ending sometimes to see how I would have done things.
2. I have been a writer since I was 8 years old.
Impressive, isn’t it? Here I am, 22 years later, and I am still trying to perfect my craft. I have written news stories, short stories, fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Someday maybe I’ll write lyrics for a change of pace. I absolutely, truly love to write. It’s an outlet for me to express my ideas. It’s a way for me to grow through my experiences as a human being. I use writing to express my feelings and it also serves as resolutions for any problem I may have to encounter. Writing has never let me down, betrayed my trust or hurt me. I need to continue writing or I’d feel lost.
3. I love Jimmy Johns.
Mmm…the Turkey Tom! It’s the best thing on the menu to me–minus the sprouts, of course. The Country Club is another favorite, but it’s hard for me to eat all of it in one sitting. I try not to eat here too often because it does get pricey. Here’s some trivia for you fellow Jimmy John fans: The first Jimmy Johns began in my college town, Charleston, IL. The restaurant is still open and running, and gets frequented by me quite often. I like Jimmy Johns more than Subway because I think Jimmy John’s is more fresh.
