We should seek for the good things from the Word of God just as a bee seeks the nectar from the flowers. This requires TIME, and careful exploration of its contents!

A Bee-Flower and a Bible

A bee may fly among the flowers,

Encircling them for many hours.

But finding not the sweetness there,

Till entering in he care and dare.

For there among the flowers sweet,

The bee should not the honey meet,

Till entering in he find the pollen,

That dwelleth in and not upon `em!

So may we open Bible hold,

Its pages edged with precious gold.

Yet not mere purchase of book with money

Will yield its treasures, sweeter than honey.

We must observe and inward seek,

With hearts so trusting, pure and meek,

To see what we glean from its treasury.

Oh, learn this lesson from flower and bee!
