The international temperature due to industrial progress had not at all risen by Maldives but perhaps they would become the first target of it. In fact only 3 feet of sea level rise will make Maldives disappear from the world.

However, destroyer of dictatorship period in the recent past, 42 years Maldives’ president Mohamad Nasheed keeps an ambition of fighting till end rather he has become champion in the war against international temperature.

He has announced that Maldives will use alternate fuel like solar energy, air energy etc instead of petrol, coal, and wood. This way Maldives will get the honor of not evaporating CO2 gas at all. This would not be at all the least honor.

Time is short and competition is high for Maldives. Tourism is a great source of Maldives’ income. In case tourism activity reduces the income of the government will also shrink accordingly.

That’s why Mohamad Nasheed expressed his inability of attending an environmental conference in Copan Hagen announcing that he has no money for attending the conference. Mohamad Nasheed in fact wants to spend on coral mines and on the safety of trees, the real country’s wealth. The same two weapons will restrict the curve of land being created in case of sea level increase in the future.

Simultaneously he is also desirous of buying plots in India or Australia so that the grand children of Maldives can reside there with peace and tranquility and would not pass tough lives like refugees. The green message of Maldives’s President is “I go to office daily on foot. Not only environment remains clean but also I do some chitchat with the people.”
