My friend’s mother died of leukemia the other day. A very sad news that stumbled us all. But the most tragic part of this loss was the courage of my mother’s friend to keep this health problem from her children, months and years ago. She kept the signs and symptoms, and avoided some medical checkups just to sneak from the rest of the family members, that she has an illness. The other way around, she never wanted them all to worry of her because this kind of illness also goes financial so she never had any medication at all, as she thought that its uncurable. Thus, she suffered alone, with so much faith and have died so unexpectedly.
Tomorrow, all of our friends will be going to her wake, but I decided not to go there for some reasons. But I chose to write her bravery, on how she fought with courage alone, just to free her family from long-suffering. In fact, she was very patient to wait for her death.
She was a woman of wisdom, because when she was still alive, she was never a lonely woman. Now, that thay had lost her, is the right time of reminiscing her beautiful struggles with God…I am sure she was talking to God alone most of the time before, cheering the happy days.
This I send to her soul a warmth “goodbye” upon hearing how her story goes with an unending smile.
