A Day I Would Never Forget

I have had many great days in my short life, but last year on the 3rd of January, I had the best day of my life. On that day it was my birthday so my parents decided to do something special. The surprise was a birthday party at “Laser Tag”, the thing I had always dreamed about turned into reality.

“What a surprise” I shouted as I finally found out the plan my parents had for my birthday. Today was my birthday and for my surprise party I was going to go to “Knox Laser Tag” for the first time. Laser tag is a game where everybody goes into a pitch-black room and fire lasers at each other to score points. The person that scores the most points will be the victorious one, which I hoped would be me.

After lunch all of my friends met me at “Knox Laser Tag” to enjoy the rest of the day. First we split into two equal teams, the blue team and the red team. I was in the red team. Then we entered the dark maze. Inside the room I couldn’t see anything at all except for the occasional beam of light emitted from the laser gun.

Soon we all got into the hang of the game. As soon as I shot a rival, his allies would be on to me and very soon, I would get shot to. The more we played, the better we got. Some team members were so smart they even set up traps and ambushes with great tactics. This game was a bit like chess, you move forward and attack, then your enemy counter-attacks. What great fun.

This was what happened on the greatest, most memorable day of my life. With so much excitement how can this day not be the best? I would definitely like to spend the rest of my life this way but as everyone knows, every great day will always have to end.
