A toy I used to play and have fun with.

Whatever happened to Polly pockets? These used to be one of my favourite toys. They entertained my sister and I for ages and expanded our imagination. Our mother bought several for us.
Among the ones we did have was a church, a detached house, a primary school and a mansion which were able to light up in the dark. Those without the facility to light up in the dark were the burger bar & takeaway drive-through, a winter house with a snowy landscape, a pet shop and a picnic park with a swing.
The smaller Polly pockets case closed; enabled to snap open and closed.
With every Polly pocket house or package purchased supplied tiny Polly pocket people. These were brilliant! They were coloured and made appropriate for each place or product they represented. Whether they were made as a shop keeper, a priest or minister, a chef; had pigtails, ginger or black or short or long hair.
The more my sister and I collected the more Polly pocket people we gained. They were all even given personal names, normal names to identify them.
We even increased our play by adding toy cars to a family that we thought needed a car. Clothing pegs, we used to form fences when lined up. The peg basket itself was our Polly pocket prison.
