Wether you believe in ghost or not, this was something that I now feel quite honored; I do believe our love ones come back to check and guide us occasionally. This indeed was one of those times!

A Ghost?

My husband enjoys ensalada de pulpo, which is the Spanish world is Octopus Salad.
I had never made this for him, or even seen anyone make it, but one day I set out to get the items I needed. It all seemed so simple, as I was shopping picking up each item as if I had been doing it for years. The end result was an Octopus Salad that my husband tells everyone about.

Recently I thought it would be a nice surprise to make it again, but this time I found myself stumbling, and unable to recall the ingredients. I went through the motions, but I totally feel awkward; it did not come naturally, my motions were forced. Even though my husband said the salad was just as good, I still could not understand while I felt so odd making it the second time, while the first time it just came naturally.

It bothered me for a few days, and then it occurred to me that during the holidays I had a dream about my mother in law; it was a simple day at the beach. Then this morning at church my mother in laws voice I heard, as the choir sang along with the rest of us. It as at that point that I realized that my mother in law had visited me this past holiday season, it was her loving heart that guided me, while today she came to let me know that every now and then she checks in on her family.

I felt very blessed to have felt her presence in my life, while her influence had an affect on me it affected her family in the long run; since when I made the ensalada de pulpo the first time, several of her family members were here.

There are many mysteries in life. I don’t mind if they stay mysteries.

I tell my husband this all the time. Several of his family members have died. I try to assure him they can visit him and allow him to feel their present. I do believe!

Well I believe. My husband and I are sure we live with four different ghosts in our house. They don’t harm us and we have learned to live with them.

Nice one. I don’t believe in ghosts, but believe that our ancestors will meet us. In our indian custom, we have a beleif that crows are our ancestors. Therefore, on the death anniversary, we keep rice for crows.
