When a young fellow, long time ago, my mother worked outside the home but had lots of time for her five children.  As each of us aged, we found jobs to provide ourselves with pocket change, even worked without pay in my parent’s business.  Since the age of thirteen, I have provided my own clothing, my own spending money which, by the way, included the price of taking someone on a date, via a city bus.  Why, I even picked cotton for two cents a pound and thought that was great.  When does a person get too important to do a job that is needed, to proud to take certain honest jobs because we might be criticized by our peers.  I do not know the answer to that question but I have this to say about it.  There is far more pride in doing a job, doing it well than sticking my hand out asking someone else to take care of me.

We Must do this Job:

This gangster political administration is taking our America from us and we the people must do the job of taking our country back.  We do not need the government to take over our automobile industry, we do not need our government taking over our banks, nor do we need them to provide for everyone’s medical care, which is including illegal immigrants.  What we do need is elected officials that take care of us, meaning protecting our interest, not giving us welfare.  Do you know that those fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan can come home and an immigrant can get one of the jobs they will take before our veteran?  That is not right.  Did you know that if you were not a contributor of funds for the president’s campaign and you own a dealership for Chrysler and soon for GM you will be eliminated.  Did you know that the Obama government wants to give the Census process to A.C.O.R.N.  The constitution only requires you to answer how many people live in your home, but they want to know things like when you leave home in the morning, when you get back home.  Do you work on Saturdays and twenty eight pages of other stuff not their business.  I worked for the Census Bureau this Spring to get the addresses of those who live in my area for mailouts.  That cost a lot of money for our government, but it lasted about ten-twelve weeks.  Now they tell me instead of the one question I had to ask, there will be twenty eight pages of questions and you can be fined for not giving it to some thug A.C.O.R.N will likely have asking.  A.C.O.R.N, due to the volume of questions will take months at tremenous cost to you and me.  So folks, here is the job you and I must do.  We must begin replacing every elected official on the national level.

Why and How?

Why and how, difficult questions so I will be very blunt with you.  Why: they are bankrupting America, they are borrowing money from an enemy: China.  The American dollar has been the standard barrier in the money market for ages, now that America is in trouble, China now wants to do away with the US Dollar and replace it with a world wide currency.  We will be bankrupt as a people and as a nation should that happen, just overnight we will be ruined.  Your elected officials are letting this happen.  In fact it appears they do not care, and perhaps they do not know about it but I do so surely they are not blind.  I do not want a government which dictates to me about my beliefs, the way I relate to God, what I think about certain people’s life style, and I do not believe you do.  That is the basic why. 

The how is simpler.  It will not work if you live on welfare for you need these people to take care of you as long as you are a slave.  Oh! I do not mean a plantation slave, but a financial slave.  When my mother worked, she had one of the local domestic workers cooking and ironing and taking care of her five children.  The domestic was glad to have the job, we were glad to have her service.  No one is too good to work, and if that is all you can do, then do it with pride and do it right.  I have an advanced degree, but if I had to dig ditches with a shovel to have my own spending money, my own grocery money and housing money I would and could do it.  Take pride in America, you work for what you get for I will tell you something, all the dividing of the wealth Obama promised, is not coming.  I will not work for ten dollars let’s say and give you five and keep five while you sit on your butt.  No way.  That is part of the how, every one work for what they get.  Later, in the second part I will suggest a job we all should do.  The next step to this how, you go every time the polls are open for an election, you vote against anyone in Washington now.  Then vote for people who at least say they will do for us with less government, fewer taxes, no private businesses owned by the government and the likes.  Rid us of the weak failures we have now.  Let our new representatives and senators remove themselves from fat retirement systems we the people pay for but cannot afford.  It is like working for a hotel that would not let you in the front door if you did not work for it.  That is not right.

A Job For Each of Us

Folks, I am not a doomsayer, but everything I read tells me we as a nation are in for some very hard times.  That means you and I will be buying eight dollar gasoline or better, and food cost will double, energy will double and everything else will at least double except your pay.  Let me share a story with you, it could be you and your spouse.  Today, usually the wife, a parent leaves home in a car with her two kids, the husband left earlier in his truck to go to work.  The wife drops the two kids off at a day care center to which she pays almost what she earns.  That very slight difference in her cost and what she makes is the actual salary she makes.  Let me explain.  Take the salary, subtract the cost of transportation and the child care and what you have left is what your job wages really are.  Now if the cost of everything goes up, and they will, your salary stays the same, the child care cost more as does your gasoline, you will be working for nothing.   How would you like to stay home with the kids, raise them yourself and have all you want to eat without having to go to the store.

Do the math, groceries will cost a fortune and you have to go to the store if they have it to sell.  In your back yard build a ten by twelve greenhouse, do a pvc pole type the how is on the Internet.  Look up how to do a small Aquaponic unit, also on the Internet.  You raise fish in a tank, in that tank water they poop, you feed plants that water and a manure tea, grow all the plants you want, and eat all the fish you grow.  Not the worse menu, even if not the best but the vegetables of all varieties will be better for you and family and the fish not so bad.  Add it up.  Your cost for groceries now for a family of four, include the transportation.  Add the cost of day care that you no longer pay for, the cost of those better clothes and the transportation and lunch you eat.  Now who is making better staying home?  Preserve some of the foods for winter, like tomatoes for those chilly nights when the temp plunges, serve a good hot vegetable soup to the family and thank God for helping you grow part of it.  When your neighbors go to the grocery store wanting tomatoes, they will be $4.00 a pound minimum and you can grow tons of them.  Sell a few of your vegetables at about half what the store wants, you will have people begging you for more.

Start a Small Business

Never forget why you are doing the aquaponics, but if you really enjoy it, teach the kids, let them help.  It only takes a small portion of your day to do this.  In addition, some of you have the space, double your size and sell what one produces as extra income or help your neighbors to set one up, or find a person that just cannot do this or afford to do this and give them some of your excess.  Always plant more than you can eat.  Part of the great joy of my life has always been sharing my garden output with others, not to those who can do for themselves, but those who cannot.  I never give to welfare people by the way, unless truly old and disabled.  I do not support lazy people nor slackers.  Gandhi of India fame said all should work to eat, even if it is just bread labor.  Not a bad idea.
