Some people think that Child Abuse isn’t a big deal. I beg to differ because some kids don’t even survive child abuse half the time. Wouldn’t you be scared if you or one of your friends were suffering from child abuse? Well actually I’m a survivor of child abuse. I was sexually abused by my dad when I was only 3yrs. old and so was my 15 yr. old brother Doug. How do you think we felt knowing it was our biological dad who sexually abused us? Well if you really want to know it made us very depressed, but it mostly affected me because I’ve been depressed ever since I was 3 yrs. old. Also as a result of the child abuse I have (P.T.S.D) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I even have to take medicine so my P.T.S.D doesn’t interfere with school. So kids shouldn’t have to go through this especially if they’re really little when it happens. Use me as an example that kids can survive child abuse and help save their own lives by telling someone that they are being abused. So that person can help save their life before it’s too late. Kids all over the U.S are being abused every 5 minutes. So please help me stop child abuse so other kids don’t have to go through what happened to me. Also, child abuse affects kids and teens, but mostly teens to the extent that they chose to commit suicide. So don’t let kids think you don’t care about them. Make sure they know you’re there for them and that they can tell you anything. This alone can help child abuse or help stop any type of abuse.
