“A new planet was found today”
Said the newspaper to my eyes but it’s far, far away
They are looking for recruits to send on there way
To visit this new planet this Thursday
It’s a fifteen day trip but I don’t mind
So I went to the recruit center read and signed
The day is here and the time has come
I lay on my back staring at the sun
A light comes on, saying prepare to depart
A loud noise cracks as the engines start
Looking to my left the rest on the crew is here
They all look straight ahead with eyes of fear
The rocket shakes and on turns the green light
I fly to the back of my seat as I begin my flight
I’m pulled, I’m thrown, I’m stuck in place
I can feel all the blood pour out of my face
5 minutes of this and then we slow down
Everyone relaxes no one says a sound
An hour later we are now free to walk around
I couldn’t believe everything I had found
First was the Earth so tiny and small
It looked no bigger than a tiny stress ball
The second was the stars that were once so far away
Glow brighter than ever like a warm summer day
The emptiness startled me, but I was too tired to care
I headed to bed and slept like a bear
15 days of this later and we are finally there
Crash landed to ground now, Put a helmet on my hair
A suit on my body, the boots on my feet
Clicked it all together and turned on the heat
It will be surely cold they said, but your only there shortly to look around
The door opened we walked out, and no one said a sound
The ground was dirt, but of the color blue
It felt real light against my shoe
There were trees here, but the grew upside down
A little creature appeared that looked like a clown
He ran to my feet and looked at me to say
This place is dangerous you better go away
I disregarded his message because we had goal
To grab a few samples and throw them in a bowl
I walked past a brown hole that was filled with a slime
And I grabbed a sample of it so we could leave here on time
I walked past a floating rock with a gem underneath
A critter cam out as I got close and growled his teeth
The ground started shaking and a loud noise came my way
A huge brown monster came running up a hill and blocked the sun rays
I ran to the ship and informed the others
We tried to get out and get to cover
We loaded up fast and started the engine full blast
Pulled the throttle back and took off fast
The monster ran and swiped at the ship
Almost took us down with a one hand whip
We were safe and we made it out alive
But no one learned from are lesson and swarmed to the planet like a hive
We were the only people who ever survived
