A Personal Endeavor to Sustainable Development

            “Working professionally in a premiere institution that is dedicated to the development of the integral individual who constantly seeks the truth and acts with fortitude in service to God and country”, is what I strive for five years from now. In due time, I am able to produce productive engineering graduates with competence in global perspective. I am very much concern in instructional development to promote student’s welfare towards innovative success.  

More than anything else, I am very much willing and interested to take up graduate studies to be well-versed in serving God and Country on the best of my knowledge and beliefs. This is more than prestige, reputation and opportune that a master degree holder could get. For me, graduate study is purposive.  It is a platform of commitment, passion and devotion of serving my creator and my mother land. The graduate degree serves tenure in my long-term professional goal. Being informed that De La Salle University is among the best institutions in the world, I’m rest assured that it would be able to provide limitless scopes of knowledge and understanding, a global engineer needs to possess.

            In my own perspective, there is no exact definition on how graduate studies contribute to the development of the society. It is better explained rather than defined. In general, what I could say is more of the role of graduate studies to the development of the society. I do believe that there is huge number of excellent graduates of the Philippines who chooses to share their expertise abroad. They are much willing to be engaged in earning money than serving God and country. In this consideration, my graduate studies shall contribute to the development of society in terms of competence and excellence guided with nationalism and excellent public service.

            It would be hard for me to mention the qualities I possessed, because I do believe that I do not have anything. Everything I possess and things I will have comes from God. What I only hold right now is the love of God. He who is greater that dwells in me than that of the world. I am proud to be Born Again Christian. And through God, I firmly believe, I will be admitted to the program.

            Now that I am admitted to the program, the area I wish to investigate in my research/thesis is more of a technology that would provide sustainable development in the country. I believe that the country needs graduate who essentially fulfills the need of common people, a graduate of integrity that rewards God-fearing citizenry.
