A creative story of the civil rights movement.

The story goes something like this……  It was a hot summer day in 1967 and two males one colored an one white were going door to door in a black neighborhood trying to get colored people to register to vote.  After roughly 4 hours of going door to door the two friends decide to go get some lunch from an all white restaurant.  As they entered the café and sat at the bar they were greeted with racial slurs, directed at both the white and colored man.  After sitting at the bar for 30 minutes without getting service white patrons began pouring hot coffee onto the two men.  Next the owner of the café grabbed a ketchup bottle and began squirting the two men all over their faces.  The two men sat there and took all of the punishment until two clansmen walked into the café and grabbed the two men, pulling them out the door and into the street.  Seeing their efforts were fruitless the two men got up and left for the beach where there was a group of people trying to integrate an all white beach.  As they walked across the sand and into the saltwater police officers showed up and began arresting the protesters.  The two men decided to leave and got to the bus station to meet Becky for a freedom ride into Georgia.  As they were walking to the station, tickets in hand a group of KKK members rode up on their horses and captured the two men, dragging them into the forest where they began to beat and run the horses over the men till they were beat dead.  Belongings scattered all over the ground the black male reaches for a picture of his family right before he takes his last breath.  To this day the murders have never been found and violence in the south continued until the later 70’s.  Now this is just an idea, a story of what happened to these two men before they were murdered in cold blood.  The police closed the case and said it was suicide.  What a crazy world we live in……
