Sunshine is good for your health and for your mental outlook on life.
Sunshine provides an excellent source of Vitamin D and other nutrients that keep us healthy. They also make our bronze go on, and keep us from freezing in the winter. However, would anyone ever think that sunshine promotes happiness?
A recent survey was taken about which state was the happiest, the winner was Louisiana, and the last place was New York. Despite the fact that New York has more governmental issues to take care of, such as the economy and Wall Street, Louisiana won based on their sunny days. Yes, sun. Apparently, the sun’s nutrients that is passed on to our planet makes us think more positively about things dealing with life. I noticed this, I failed a math test once, went outside and I felt good again, until I went back inside.
So, when your sunshine is gone and makes your day “gray,” you are really having a lack of nutrients from the sun, causing that mental peace of mind.
Lastly, here is a tip on how to get your daily dose of sunshine: Everyday, try to get at least 15 minutes of sunshine, it’ll give you the minimum amount of Sun and should keep you happy for the rest of the day.
