We salute you.

You have the wrinkles that come from hard work.

You have the white hair that came from many nights of worry. Who can remember all that you’ve done.

If not for you where would we be? We have seen fruits of your labor. We are the fruits of your labor.

We acknowledge that you paved the way. You are not forgotten in this day and age. We may be young now, but we know that changes. If we live long enough we will be once again walking in your shoes. The road you have traveled has been one that is long.

You deserve to rest and enjoy the sun warming your skin. You deserve to rest and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.

We salute all that you’ve done. We pray we can make you proud of us. The younger generation of those who actually care about what you’ve done. We salute you for the time you took to build a world that we seem to be destroying.

We care so deeply that you are pleased with the time we took to thank you. We not only thank you, we appreciate you.
