Before you finish making your New Year’s resolutions, read this article.
This year has been perhaps one of the memorable years since 2001. This year alone, many tragedies have happened. Two of these events that have changed the lives of thousands of people have been the Gulf Oil Spill and the earthquakes in Haiti. The most tragic part of this is that, as time has passed; many people have forgotten these events. If you ask someone if they remembered what happened in Haiti this year on January 12, they’ll likely take a moment to remember that many people had died there early that day, when a major earthquake hit Haiti, followed by a series of aftershocks.
And the same could likely be said for the Gulf Oil Spill, if you ask someone what caused it or when it was, they’d either take a moment to remember or not remember at all.
So this year, of all the resolutions you make, make one of of them this: Remember 2010.
Don’t forget the lives that were lost last year and the lives that were forever changed. Remember 2010.
