Why I think I’m better than most people.
Up until now I didn’t allow myself to say this out loud.
I barely allowed myself to think it.
It’s just that–gosh darn this is so hard to say–it’s just that well I-I -I think I’m better than most people
Most people have someone in their lives they don’t get along with. Family member, coworker, neighbor. I get along with everyone in my life.
I see the best in everyone and give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
If someone cuts me off on the road, I don’t cuss him out. I barely notice.
I take the steps where most people take the elevator.
I don’t watch much TV except for baseball.
I think for myself, I don’t let friends, family, or so-called “experts” tell me what to do.
I give to charity
I work harder than most of my coworkers
I pay attention when the server tells his/her name in restaurants
That’s why I’ve decided to abandon modesty and come right out and say it: I’m better than most people
I hope it’s okay to say that.
