Death is the ultimate fear for everyone. Its something no one in their right mind wants to face. But why? Is it that we don’t want to leave our lives behind, is it that we do not know what will happen to us after death? Its both.

Death for all human beings is like a file being erased from a computer. Its just gone. At least thats what I think. I cannot not be sure, but all the religious people cant be sure that they’ll actually have afterlives either. Most people have a religion; they believe in a higher power and they believe in the afterlife, where they’ll be rewarded for being righteous or be punished for committing sins. Many of these people also believe that only humans have afterlives, not animals. So why can they imagine this for animals and not for themselves? Its pretty selfish and arrogant, if you ask me. Its that fear, that fear of not being, that prevents them from accepting that one day there will be no trace of them left on this planet except for some hair and bones but even that wont last forever. 

We did not exist before being born and we will not exist after dying. Thats the truth. 

Ever since humans existed, they have believed in the afterlife in some form. There have been cavemen found that were buried with tools, clothing and food. 

Imagine if we could accept death, not being killed, but dying. If we could just be OK with our fate. We are all meant to die. I do not mean being killed at all, no accidents or murders but dying because of old age. The body wont work well forever. Life would be much easier to live if we would not have that fear in the back of our minds.

But we will always be scared, thats how it is and it is not wrong, for we should love life and not want to let it go. Life is a great thing that most of us can experience for 80 years and we should make something out of it.
