Everyday activities, feelings, actions,
Had you ever heard acting on instinct? Maybe you are more familiar with acting on impulse where people usually take action without thinking. It is commonly illustrated by action first before thinking. Woman normally act this way especially in buying small things just to give in to their initial likes or cravings. Me myself do give in to impulsive buying for the mere satisfaction of owning material things. But I am not referring to that in this article.I would like to give emphasis on “acting on instinct” which means listening first to what your heart and feelings says before eventually taking your step. As people mature or come into right age of decision making, this is an important basis on how to live our life and future.
I read one book by Rhonda Byrne entitled "the Secret" which inspire me on how to treat life. One of the statement there is that "Your thoughts and your feelings create your life. It will always be that way. Guranteed!!!"
Just like the law of gravity, the law of attraction never slips up. You don’t see pigs flying because the law of gravity made a mistake and forgot to apply gravity to pigs that day. Likewise, ther are no exlusions to the law of attraction. If something came to you, you drew it, with prolonged thought. The law of attraction is precise.
Sales speakers usually based their speech on this thoughts, of setting your goal by feelings and using your positivity to go for it. I remember before when I attended seminars on marketing, they normally used visualization to reach their aims. For example, if you like a car, they encourage sales executives to cut out the exact semblance of the car and put it in place that they will see it everyday. It will create a sense of attraction to target that goal. Red car, sparking and shining, waiting for you!!.
It is same if you like to have your dream house. You have to set your mind in specifications, designs, colors, number of bedrooms and try to organize your thoughts on reaching that dream.
Those are examples ot material things. And it means that if you had put your heart and mind in achieving your goal, it is always possible, just believe.
On acting on instinct, I am referring to inner feelings that will be your basis in making your decision. It could be job opportunities, travel, or even feelings or vibes to certain person. Sometimes, we only ignore this kind of sensibility that normally save us a fortune or even our own life.
I remembered one occasion when I applied for a job in middle east as a coordinator. Ever since I applied for that vacancy I have this feeling that I am not for it. However, since it was an opportunity and not most people were given the change to be hired for that skilled work, I pushed through. I submitted all the requirements and even had my medical exam for the application to proceed. All my papers were already submitted to the agency including my passport and I was just waiting for my visa. Months had passed but my visa was never granted. At the same time, a friend informed me that they have available position in their company. My resume was forwarded and I was called for interview. After the interview, I felt an inner satisfaction that the job belongs to me. So I accepted the offer and withdrew my papers in the agency. I suddenly felt the relief of not coming to the middle east as I trusted my instinct. Eventually, my friends who applied to the same position in the agency where granted their visa but only worked for a year or two then continued to looked again for another job opportunities. Luckily, I am still working as coordinator on the same company and was able to work overseas as part of my career growth.
Sometimes, we have to listen to our inner feelings and basic instinct because it might simply be giving signals on how we continue to live our life. God has plans for us, better than what ever want and imagine to be. So try to listen to your heart, for it is where God send His guidance.
