As I have mentioned in my previous article,” Alarm Clock: A Health Hazard?“,that alarm clock can cause in-activeness, depression, tension, anger and anxiety, which can further cause accidents. In this article, I will give the reasons.

I will give reasons by taking some cases.

For e.g.:

A person normally sleeps at 10°clock in night and gets up at 5°clock in the morning. Now, suppose he sleeps at 2°clcok in night on fine day and he do not wish to wake up before 10°clock in morning. However, he forgets to change his alarm clock timing from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. So, while he is sleeping in peace, suddenly the shrilling noise of alarm starts at 5 a.m. now, the man unwilling to get up to shut the alarm tries to switch off without removing his pillow from his eyes. While he is trying to close the alarm, he hit the glass of water kept near the alarm. Glass of water falls and breaks. This creates a panic and man gets up to check the cause of additional noise. He finds broken glass on floor and water is spread all over the floor.

He gets up unwillingly and removes broken glass. While doing this, he is half-awake and suddenly he slips on wet floor and becomes fully awake. Now, he get rid of the wet floor and broken glass. By the time he has done all this its 6 a.m. and when he goes back to see time he is shocked to find that he has got only 4 hours to sleep. This creates anxiety and tension so as to sleep as soon as possible but since his sleep has broken and is restless. He is unable to sleep properly.

At 10 a.m., he gets up and is inactive due to lack of proper sleep. His in-activeness affects his work and he is unable to do work properly which results in tension, anxiety and anger. In the long term, this adds up to cause depression. On one unlucky day, this depressed guy makes a mistake in office and he is fired. This trauma he cannot bear and while crossing road he met with accident.

Therefore, you can see how a harmless thing like alarm clock can cause havoc in ones life. Hence, my readers never take alarm clock lightly.
