My dearest Leslie,

I wanted to write you a poem so much last night. Words were very hard to come by because after we spoke I could not sleep because I missed you. You are so far away, but very close to my heart.

All I can do is to compare you to all that is good and beautiful in this world and the heavens. I have always appreciated the small things in life, but you make me appreciate them so much more. This is because when I see something beautiful, I always think of you.

These are only some of the things that remind me of you.

The Sun

Your smile is my sun. It brings light and warmth into my heart. The sun nourishes the plants of the earth. Your smile nourishes my heart. It energizes and invigorates me.

The Moon

You have a glow about you when you are happy. The moon allows one to see even on the darkest nights. Your glow allows me to see clearly even on my worse days.

The Stars

My eyes become like the stars at the very thought of you. They become bright. They sparkle.

Your soul is like a star in the heavens. It is burns brightly. The stars guided sailors in ancient times. I can sail through any troubled waters because of your love. Like those stars guide sailors in ancient time, your live can navigate me through any troubled waters because of the strength that it gives me.

You are the star that I wish upon. You are my wish.

Angels

Your sweet voice reminds me of angels singing in heaven. It is soft, sweet, innocent and pure.

Fresh Air

The fresh air that I breathe fills my lungs to sustain my life. Knowing that a lady like you exists and loves me sustains my very soul.
