Some ways allergies affect me. I am sure others can relate.
Seasonal allergies can really drag you down and make you feel miserable.
Some symptoms of allergies are;
itchy, watery red eyes, runny nose, sneezing. You usually carry Kleenex or a
handkerchief at all times.
I have had allergies since I was about 16 years old. I live in central Texas
every time I would leave then come back it seems I became allergic to
something else (I wonder if that is trying to tell me something).
I am not allergic to some common irritants like cedar trees, roses, or grass.
I am however allergic to oak trees, which are my favorite tree (of course).
I am also allergic to hay, which is odd because I live out in the country so
I am surrounded by hay. I am also allergic to ragweed, sawdust and daffodils.
I know other people suffer from seasonal allergies. My problem is that I
seem to be allergic to something in each season. I really think allergies
are a nuisance.
I do have other allergies which aren’t seasonal such as; cigarette smoke,
bee stings, and tar.
You may find antihistamines which fight allergies in any pharmacy or
grocery store. There are several to choose from over the counter medicines
Benadryl, Tavist,or Claritin to name a few.
The most common side effect of these medications are drowsiness and being
thirsty. Although there are some medicines which do not cause drowsiness
they do not seem to work as well for me.
Sometimes people require allergy shots from their doctor or may get prescription
for stronger allergy medicines.
Another problem with having allergies is being more prone to colds or
having breathing problems such as asthma.
