Hi there fellow Allison followers,

Here we are, it is 10/5/09, the Yankees won yesterday, and wow, who really cares???  Well, for one, my grandmother who’s birthday was yesterday is really, really happy about the Yankees winning.  My grandmother, god bless her, has been the only family member Yankee fan in our history.  We are all Mets fans till the end, and none of us really care all that much about how the Yankees are doing.  But she has stuck, through many years, to being the only family member Yankee fan we’ve ever known.  Now as of yesterday, she is 87 years old and she won!  God damn her!  Hehe, really acually happy for her that her team won!

Because it was my grandmother’s birthday yesterday, we had a bit of a family get together at her house last night.  One flew in from Florida, another drove in from Maryland, I drove from New York (all the way to Jersey), and my parents cooked, prepared a lot of food, and prepped the whole evening out.  And for my grandmother, the most of it was a nice little surprise for her.  I hope she enjoyed it, even though we all didn’t get along as well as most would hope for.  But hey, we are a raw and honest family, we don’t hide our feelings and sometimes we need to explode on them…  like last night…

So today, I had no family around me.  I spent the day with my business partner preparing for tomorrow’s day of sales.   Still am nervous about tomorrow but I know we will do fine.
