Pythagoras, men know what they want, country is full of dependent sheep, advertisers and television, Americans are too dependent, they can’t think for themselves, they have lost their power.

If a writer or artist depends on other peoples ideas, his own creativity begins to shrink and go to waste. Once realizing how dependant he/she is that the ideas are not ones own, a terrible psychic pain sets in…This is true for every walk of life: be it doctors, lawyers, teachers just about anyone. Students steal other students work. They plagiarize the Internet. They have lost the ability for creative thinking. How long has the television told them what they should eat for breakfast? You can’t be part of the herd if you don’t buy and wear this brand of sneakers.(You can’t have too many) The more we depend on others ideas, opinions, who to vote for, the more we depend on THEM. Finally, we are slaves. Slaves to dependency and addiction. We wonder why we suffer guilt, fear, insecurity, chronic anxiety and finally physical illness.

Basically, the average American is dependant on just about everything: paychecks, what our neighbors think of us, the want of better entertainment to fill the void, the admiration of friends, what the government decides for us, what the advertisers want us to buy, a war we really do not want. Outer things and conditions have stolen your soul.We feel victims of circumstance, enslaved by credit card debt, We feel shame and regret and do not know why. Did we marry the wrong person? Maybe, we should not have  listened to mother and had children. We run to the nearest support group and find that everyone else is in the same boat. We allowed ourselves to be pampered like well trained pets. What for? Is this the American Dream?

Are there answers to what I have said? YES! But, I am not going to tell you what they are. This time you have to think for yourself. This time you are totally accountable. You may battle trying on this new independence. You may be afraid. You might feel different. Just remember: Fear plus positive action equals courage. You can do it..

This is from kitty Starwizard, I am so proud of those that marched on the White House this morning. Just remember the country is full of baby boomers and we remember Vietnam. Hooray, for the demonstrators. Action is courage. You are thinking. Kitty
