Talking about American’s working or not working and what drives them to do so.
America is often referred to as the land of the hardest working people. You work hard and you get to play hard. What about when, by forces outside of your control, you are left without a job? What happens? Is there an inner drive to provide for your family. Is that what keeps you going? It should. But no thats not it. What do you get for now on until you find another job? An unemployeement check. That’s right. You don’t even have to work to get this so why should you try to go find work? Grant it in certain situations unemployeement benefits are necessary to help someone get back on their feet but mainly unemployeement goes to the lazy bums that get fired from their jobs. If you get fired should you be allowed to recieve unemployeement benefits? Really do you think so? You didn’t preform correctly at your job so you get a benefit? That doesn’t sound right at all. Now if you get laid off due to cut backs, unemployeement is great to help you for a short while when you are looking for another job. But like I stated earlier there is no incentive to go out and find a job when you can live off of unemployeement is there?
