An armadillo takes a trip on the wild side.
I am a Texas armadillo ,a rodent in armor, you might say.
Protected from the outside world ,that doesn’t seem to be working today.
I woke up in the blistering heat, roasting alive in the sun.
The heat is what woke me up,I smelled like I was already done.
Me and my buddies went across the border last night,
After me and beloved Amy got into a fight.
She threw my hat out behind me,as I crawled out of our hole,
Followed by a hard right claw,I felt all the way to my soul.
We walked all day, singing an old Jimmy Buffet song.
Dreaming about the pretty little rodents down in Mexico,
Out of their shells, wearing nothing but a tiny little thong.
I love my Amy,but all those babies, have taken away her form.
The only thing she needs me for now,is to keep our babies warm.
Twelve hours later, here I am ,I’m baking in the sun.
That marvelous night night in Mexico, wasn’t near as much fun.
Oh Amy,please come rescue me,my head hurts so bad,I can barely see.
The asphalt is literally baking my underside,I need you to come to my rescue,
Amy,come baby me.
