Argument.

“Which one is she?” “She is that one.” “Thank you so much.”  “We can’t take any more people on.” “What do you mean you can’t take anyone else, one person won’t make a difference.” “Exactly will one person make a difference and I think not so go home and enjoy your last few hours together.” “YOU BA****D! YOU HORRIBLE MAN I HOPE YOU DIE ALONG WITH THE REST OF US.” “You will regret saying that now.” “Sarge stop enough.” The poor women pushed down to the floor hopeless, he was beating her with his baton every strike at her generating even more excruciating pain. I had to stand my ground; I can’t assault my Sergeant. But I just couldn’t stand it anymore how could he hit her like that.

Words just wanted to come shooting out of my mouth. I shouted “STOP”! I raged up to him with all my anger and knocked him out that ass**** deserved it! The woman was on the floor silent, whilst her child was hugging her and tears were dribbling down his face. I went to see if the woman was alright she was unconscious and big bruises all over her and blood dripping from her face.

I just couldn’t leave them like that, I just couldn’t. I told her son to get up and hold my hand tightly and picked up his mum in my arms and carried her behind the bars. I brought her down under to tidy her up and see if she was okay. I lay her down on one of the beds and got a wet Luke-warm cloth and slowly wiped her face. She was still breathing, but every breath seamed more of a challenge for her. I wiped her fragile arms clean but there were blistering bruises all down along her arm. Poor lady I felt so sorry for her and her son. I went up to him and held his hand he was sitting on the end of the bed looking confused not knowing what was going on. “Everything’s going to be alright your mother will be fine.” But no reply came from him. She started to gain consciousness.

I went up to her. “Where am I?” “You’re safe.” “Ow thank you so much, how did you get us a space down here?” I had two places left down here one for me and one for my wife who had unfortunately past away last year so I have organized for you and your son to take our places and I shall meet my wife Betty in heaven.” “I have to repay you somehow?” “I have got to go now.” “Thank you again may our blessings always be with you.” That man was so kind he gave his life for us I will always be in gratitude to that lovely man.

I started heading home to enjoy my last few hours of my life. I am happy I gave our spots away to those people they deserved it more than anyone else there. There was a sound so strong coming from outside. IT WAS THE WAR HEAD…
