A childhood memory.
I remember when I was six years old
A little girl lying in my soft bed
With plush blankets to keep the away the cold
And thoughts of playful kittens in my head
I was sleeping quite peacefully you see
But then all of a sudden I felt pain
A hair-pulling pain that was killing me
I tried to ignore but that was in vain
And then I heard my mother’s scolding voice
Saying, “No, no, no! You cannot stay here!”
My eyes open thinking I had no choice
A realization of my greatest fear
But then I hear a voice of a kitty
And realized that mom was talking to him
He would meow, trying to gain pity
For he chose my bed on a silly whim
And my long hair as his new plaything
Soon he was scooped up out the bedroom
And placed in his proper bed of sleeping
For playing with my tresses was his doom
The door soon closes and I close my eyes
A smile on my lips, slowly drifting
As sleep takes over, causing me to sigh
With thoughts of naughty kitties giggling

Tee-hee!
