The lost city.

Think of any prehistoric lost civilizations in science fiction, comic books and or from your own imagination, and you will inevitably come up with the magical City of Atlantis it was first mentioned by the ancient philosopher Plato (Not to be confused by Disney’s dog Pluto) he said Atlantis was a sea power lying “in front of the Pillars of Hercules” and according to him conquered many parts of Western Europe and Africa approximately 9600 BC.

Many writers were inspired by a Utopian world including Francis Bacon in his “New Atlantis” even the Nazis were mesmerised by a world consisting of a Aryan-Nordic” master race of “Nordic-Atlante’s”..

I dont know, those Nazi’s spent so much time looking for supermen and of a super race, they should have had a chat with Clark Kent.

Girls if you to want  a super man, remember he’s got two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without an erection, make him a sandwich, and then you will have a superman. Sorry about that, but I just thought I would add it in OK back to Atlantis.

So is there an Atlantis? On Google Ocean it shows an amazing image which could show the fabled sunken city of Atlantis. It shows a perfect rectangle the size of Wales lying on the bed of the Atlantic Ocean nearly 3½ miles down. With a host of criss-crossing lines, looking like a map of a vast metropolis, and enclosed by a boundary.

If you want to look for yourself the underwater image can be found at these co-ordinates 31 15′15.53N 24 15′30.53W.

There were many films and a couple of TV shows about Atlantis in my humble opinion the best was “The lost Empire.”

Well that’s Atlantis what do you think? It’s nice to think there was such a land but for an earthquake it would still be sitting there in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
