Otoya: Met her on the fly, nothing wrong with that? Wanna try picking up a cosplayer?

Normal guy: Uhh, sure if we were on anime world. I’d rather have me-self some party girls. 

Otoya: Hmm, oh well…as long as you get out of the basement and start meeting girls alright,  you’ll improve, but since you’ve said you’ll decline the offer, suit yourself, guv.

In this world of modern Internet memes and the rise of new cultures (Jejemon included). Some of us who dwell on basements or for those who have anxiety talking to a girl, even a cosplayer. This is an article for you! But first things first, the first question you’d ask is: “Otoya, what on Ayala Alabang’s many mansions is a cosplayer”? For starters, a cosplayer is a person who portrays a character from a Japanese animation series or a game, some would portray characters from American games too. Now let’s get to business. Now a cosplayer has the same uniqueness as a non-anime watching human female. The only difference is her choice of shows to watch, a different kind of persuasion. Aside from that, you have to be abit like a citizen of wannabe Japanese descent (i.e. wapanese) to get along with these cosplayers. They all come in shapes and sizes, from the tall, the short, the heavily armored, the one with most friends, the one with most burly dirty old men following her and the like.

The catch to opening up to a cosplayer is simple, just know what you like, find something unique about that girl, weigh your words right and open up like you’ve never opened up before! And from there you’ll be able to converse, tell stories and stuff along with some comments on anime episodes or rail-thin males going at it or somehow close to it (rail-thin male romance is also known as Ya-oi). 

All in all, the key to getting the digits is simple, just don’t come on too hard, and you’ll be all set. Don’t be too near either, just have the right body language, presentation and etc, and you’ll be just fine. Sure you may get the number but realize that there’s more to that than just numbers. You have to be at your optimal performance to get that cute cosplayer next to you everyday.

One more word of caution: DO, I repeat, DO make sure you check their ages too, you wouldn’t want to catch jail-bait or be some confused pedophile. Find someone close to your age, when dating these cosplay cuties.
