Criticizing critics.
What’s the deal with critics? Why do they always have to be so critical? For example, I would go see a movie and I thought it was great, until the next day when I heard everybody saying it was terrible just because it had gotten a bad review from somebody who obviously was in a bad mood at the time. Being a mild critic, I probably have done this before, but I am more flexible than others. Are people in the world so insecure as to put down topics that deserve a much better “rating” than they should deserve? Which brings me to my next point…
Rating stuff; We’re all guilty of rating things, girls that walk by, movies, games, performance, life. But why? Why do people rate objects? To prove a point of superiority? To label the lesser? Or just for pure amusement? Personally, I rate for a combination of reasons. I believe that broad terms would be unanimously the wrong way to describe something which was just terrible. I like to praise the should-be-praised for something outstanding they did or synthesized. And I think Simon Cowell has gotten soft.
So why does everybody else criticize things? Criticize this, I dare you.
