Like all other seasons fall is extremely extraordinary. It has many features, such as several holidays. You will be reading about these holidays. Fall is not only a season or an annoying part of the year, but a wonder of Mother Nature.

The first big holiday of fall is Rosh Hashanah. This is the holiday when people of Jewish decent celebrate the beginning of the Jewish month Tishri that lasts ten days. This holiday on October 4th is known as the Jewish New Year. Like the American New year on Jan 1 st , Rosh Hashanah is the day to make changes for that year. The next holiday is Columbus Day. This is the day Christopher Columbus discovered North America. It is a very important day in American History. After Columbus Day we celebrate Yom Kippur, which is ten days after Rosh Hashanah. This is the most important holiday to Jewish people. This is the Day of Atonement.

The last holiday of October is one of the most famous Holidays of fall. It is favored by kids it is called Halloween. Halloween or Hallows Eve is a true dentists payday but at the same time a nightmare. My grandmother told me that Halloween costumes started a long time ago. People believed that they could protect their loved ones from monsters by disguising them as the very monsters they were running away from. Eventually Halloween turned into an awesome holiday.

The first day of November is All Saints Day. My mother let me know that this is the day that people celebrate the day on which a Christian celebrates all the saints living and dead. The next holiday of the month is Veterans Day. This is the day when people remember all the veterans living and dead for the fighting they did during the many wars. The last holiday of fall, which is next week, is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the day we give prayers and thanks for everything that we are thankful for. We give thanks to Jesus Christ or any other god for which people worship and believe in. At the end we have feasts with the most common cuisine on Thanksgiving……….Turkey. I am very thankful for my family, friends and the Indians who befriended the pilgrims for which this holiday wouldn’t be here.

Fall doesn’t last forever, which is too bad. It has so many qualities and wonders that only come from the fall season. The colors of the leaves as they fall from the trees and whistling of the wind. As fall ends its wondrous session we say hello to another incredible season. Which will have so very much to do, discover, learn and cherish as we did with season before. Thank goodness fall will be back around year after year.
