I have always wondered what if I were an English teacher. I studied in a school which was very particular about English learning and our English teacher could not tolerate even the most minor grammar mistake.

  She always wanted us to know more than one synonym for a word and did not like repeated use of the same word.

I don’t know what happened with her once we left our school. Then she was unmarried. If she is married and having children now I am sure she is having a tough time.

I can predict she has most problems with the word awesome, which is often used nowadays by youngsters even when not relevant and also used at places where there are more suitable adjectives.
