The years pass so quickly, then you can look back.

                                                   Babies Grow Up

One minute  you are cradling this little tiny bundle of humanity, the next, they are grown up and gone. Well that is what it feels like to a mother who looks back with nostalgia to the time when her strapping six foot something son, was a helpless babe in arms.

We only tend to remember the pride and pleasure our new born gave us. At the time, the night feeds seemed to go on forever, then there was teething, and if your little one became ill, you would pace up and down whilst he cried his heart  out, and you worried that he might be seriously ill because he was crying so much.

But it wasn’t long before he learned to talk, and tell you what was wrong with him, and he laughed, and sang, and then gradually, he became an independent person  in his own right. Suddenly you realised he didn’t need you any more, and if you tried to  tell him or guide him in his choices, he became a typical stroppy teenager, with a mind of his own, and quite liable to make mistakes.

But making mistakes is all part of life experience, he can learn from them, and you have to let him do that. He will emerge feeling confident and self assured , and you can feel proud that your little bundle of joy, has grown up into a person with self esteem, because of your love.
