Challenge set by Chantelle, with the words Fairy, Blossom and Blue.
Her strides were purposeful, imbued with confidence. Blue eyes flared with an inner fire that threatened to sear anyone in her path. She was a woman on a mission, and disaster would befall anyone who was unfortunate- or stupid- enough to get in the way of that.
Feet propelled her forward, along a corridor, then around a corner and through several doors. Two men stood ahead of her, blocking her approach. Too bad for them. She grinned as she advanced forward, hands spread in front of her. Fire spewed from her fingertips, shooting towards them. In an instant they had disintegrated, and all that remained of them was floating to the ground, like blossom falling from a cherry tree in spring.
Too easy. She continued on, and her foes continued to explode as she met them. Her strides quickened, as she sensed victory. Another corridor, another set of doors, and there it lay before her; a set of reinforced doors, behind which lay her quarry.
She took a deep breath, centring herself. Focusing, she threw her hands forward and unleashed fire again upon the door. It slowly disintegrated in the same fashion as the men had. Not even a 10 inch thick door can withstand a fairy. Not such a Tinkerbell image, is it now?
As the remnants of the door crumbled to the ground, she stepped through to view a room which was empty, save a pedestal in the centre. On the top of the pedestal was a thick tome, bound in gold.
She grinned. Finally the secrets will be mine, and I shall be omnipotent. Noone shall be able to withstand my power. Her fingers grasped the tome, lifting it up, and she let loose a primal cry of triumph. At last, I shall rule, and none shall oppose me.
