Dear Diary:

Entry Number 19:

Dinner was fantastic.  The baked cod was out of this world.  Oh I so enjoy being here.  I tried one of my many talents at dinner.  I was able to bend my fork with just a hand gesture and the proper amount of concentration.  Cool!  I can’t keep my mind off of Sir Volta Viola.  I want to get my revenge on him.  Also, I wonder who the Others are.  Could they be in this room?  Ronald sat next to me and chatted about his classes and the Extreme Musical Chairs game.  Since the field trip was cancelled until next week, I knew that I had to complete my homework tonight.  In two days, I was going to get my baton.  I wonder what special power my baton will possess.  I passed by Harmony as I went to my room.  She smiled and said that we needed to talk.  She had some important things to tell me.  She asked that I meet her in the library at 9:00.  I agreed to meet her.  She also asked if Ben could join us.  I said of course.  My next entry will have to wait until after my meeting with Harmony and Ben.

Entry Number 20: 

There was an explosion outside at 8:00.  A cloud billowed across the sky followed by a message.  The message said, “The Music Citadel shall be destroyed within one week hence.  Prepare for Doomsday.  Sir Volta Viola.”  Loud gasps and screams could be heard both inside and outside the Music Citadel.  The Conductor told everyone to come inside the Great Hall.  He spoke in an urgent tone, “I want you to know that indeed Sir Volta Viola is planning to harm everyone here and destroy the Music Citadel.  I am giving everyone their batons tomorrow.  Your use of those batons will be extremely important as we prepare to face our mortal enemy.  Also, I shall discuss with you tomorrow the mysterious group known as the Others.  Now go back to your rooms and get a good night’s sleep.”  As everyone left the Great Hall, the Conductor motioned Harmony over to ask a question.  “Harmony, I need to see you at once.  It is urgent.  Will you meet me in my study?”  Harmony was shaken.  “Of course I will.”  I must now leave this entry until I find out what the meeting between the Conductor and Harmony was about.
