Beauty Sleep, we all need it. Creating your own personal sleeping space is a lot easier than you may think; and you just might be surprised how it can improve the quality of your sleep.

We all have so much to do, places to go, but have you ever thought about how important a good sleep is? Better yet, creating a perfect sleeping area that perhaps can make falling asleep a little bit easier.

As a baby in the womb, we are cradled, upon being born we are wrapped up so nice and snugly, and when the baby gets home the room has to be just perfect; well why not do that for yourself. Your sleeping area is your personal space, to unwind and rest; and yes, getting your beauty sleep. I say beauty sleep because a lack of sleep makes us ugly on the outside as well as on the inside; tired people squint their eyes and seem to frown more frequently. This is the outside appearance, the inside appearance is that of an angry, cranky brat; who in fact needs a good night sleep.

Take a look at your bedroom, is it cozy, and comfy; if not lets makes some changes if we can. First recognize your bed as a place for sleeping, not for hanging out, or playing on, it is your quiet place for your much-needed beauty sleep. Having the right mattress makes a big difference but as long as your comfortable that’s fine. Now set the tone, fresh air is great for a good nights sleep, but open the window from the top, so that if a cool breeze is blowing, it is not directly on you. Never let the room get too hot, we tend to become more restless when we are over heated, a cool to even cold room gives us a need to snuggle up with a heavy quilt.

Try to keep the noise and lights to a minimum, heavy drapes help to block outside light but it also helps reduce outside noise, such as traffic; using a soft music can also be very soothing, while keeping the outside noise to a minimum.  Consider investing in a system that slowly reduces its music until it shuts off, usually a good time frame should be about fifteen minutes. If your lying in bed for more than twenty minutes and can’t fall asleep, get out of bed and go read on the sofa, not in the bed, since your goal is to make you subconsciously associate bed with sleep, and sleep with bed. If it is your normal tradition to read before going to sleep then read until your feel tired, no use turning out the lights if your not sleepy; also don’t plan to go to bed until your feeling tired, otherwise you may just lay their.

Lights out, snuggling with a quilt, light music playing in the back ground, helps to set the mood for sleep, and by listening to the soft music it helps to take your mind off tomorrows events, or things that happened that day. One more thing is a dream pillow. A dream pillow is a small little cache, with sleeping herbs, that are herb that have scents that help to send you blissfully off to sleep. Lavender scent is one scent that helps to sooth the mind and relaxes us, so are many other essential oils.

Essential oils of good grade can be found in health food stores, some of the more soothing scents to ease one into sleep are spearmint, or rose scented caches. You can also turn to actual herbs that you personally feel are soothing. Purchase them fresh and place them in a small cache, and press and squeeze them so that their natural scents find their way, helping your to drift off to your much need beauty sleep. The stage is set, now it is up to you to fix up your sleeping area, making it as comfortable as a new born baby room.

Your articler is awesome! Sleep deprivation can affect ones health, mentally and physically. Your tips on a good night’s sleep makes a great deal of sense: Why can’t one do to oneself, as one does for a baby! So true and informative!
